My favorite book at the moment is
probably The World Is Flat by Thomas Friedman. He has
an incredible knack for describing what is happening in
the world, why, and what we should do about it. |

If when you die you get a
choice between pie heaven and regular heaven, choose pie
heaven. It might be a trick but if not mmmboy.

I was having a blast at Ole Miss before
rush started and I was questioning whether I would fit
into the fraternity lifestyle. When I went into the
Delta Psi house I did not find a group of friends; I
found a brotherhood. I knew it was something rare and I
wanted to find out more. The acceptance and comfort I
find in every corner of our hall has allowed me to form
bonds of brotherhood and is why I will always remain a
Delta Psi. But the reason I joined, however, was because
I looked around at the people who also wanted to be
Delta Psi and I saw, and forgive the cliché, the best
and the brightest at ole miss. I offer this advice while
you go through rush: look not only at the men in the
fraternity, but also at the men they want in the
fraternity. The people you surround yourself with have
the greatest influence on the man you will become. I
chose Delta Psi because I wanted to surround myself with
men who would push me to better myself. We all change,
but it is a rare thing to find a group of people willing
to see that change as a good thing and to always accept
the person you are and the person you will become.
Wherever you find that, do everything in your power to
get it. |
